The mother of a 28-year-old son, Monica M. Thompson-Henry has close to 30 years’ experience working in both banking and academia. She lives in Wilmington, Delaware, and holds a doctorate in business administration. She has always had sensitive skin but didn’t start to understand her eczema until late in life. Now Thompson-Henry is on a mission to share her belief that eczema is not a condition, an illness, or an inconvenience. She believes that eczema exists in a person’s life as much as breathing does and deserves to be treated with respect. She says that while living with eczema is not easy, understanding eczema can make living with it easier.
